Generally, people start the "new year" in January. In the field of education, it starts in September. For the last few months I have been looking in ernest to find a teaching position. I know I won't be returning to the building I was in or the staff I had grown to truly enjoy. Sad as it might be, I am kind of excited as well... meeting new people, town, it is almost like an adventure!
I don't think my husband would see it as an "adventure" more like a nightmare for him. Not having the consistant pay check or the amount that it was is scarey. The cost of living, cost of gas... yeah... scarey.
Besides looking for a new teaching job, I have changed part-time jobs. The job I was with served it's purpose, helped put some money on the table and get me through college but I feel that I have out grown it. Though I am still in the same field, I am just working in a different office making a bit more money. I find this change to be refreshing... a new way of thinking, new people to meet/know.
I am told change is good... I'll let you know how I do in two weeks when school starts!
